Payment and currency
Currency of Hungary: forint /HUF.
You can pay by credit card anywhere in Hungary. Everyone is obliged to do so by law, even though there can be exceptions.
Transportation
Life doesn't stop in Budapest, night buses run all night.
Exceptionally, on New Year's Eve, the metro runs all night in addition to the night buses.
Parking
Parking is free in most places in Budapest between Christmas and New Year's Eve. In the city centre there are places where only local residents can park during this period, so please pay attention to the signs!
Attention for those who will be driving: 0 tolerance for alcohol consumption applies in Hungary.
